Performance / Love Letters/ The Vagina Monologues (Rotating Repertory)

Love Letters ...

is a play by A. R. Gurney that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Using the epistolary form sometimes found in novels, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards – in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.

The Vagina Monologues...

is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler, which began in 1996 at the Off-Broadway Westside Theatre after a limited run at HERE Arts Center. The play delves into consensual and nonconsensual sexual experiences, body image, genital mutilation, direct and indirect encounters with reproduction, sex work, and several other topics through the eyes of women with various ages, races, sexualities, etc. Charles Isherwood of The New York Times called the play "probably the most important piece of political theater of the last decade." DISCLAIMER: THIS SHOW CONTAINS MATURE THEMES AND LANGUAGE. IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18.
